Installer winamp itu NSIS (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page). Rasanya itu tidak bisa untuk buat MSI. Kalau yang free u/ buat MSI bisa coba pakai WiX (http://sourceforge.net/projects/wix/). Ini asalnya dari Microsoft juga, tapi:

The Windows Installer XML (WiX) is a toolset that builds Windows installation packages from XML source code. The toolset supports a command line environment that developers may integrate into their build processes to build MSI and MSM setup packages.

Jadi mungkin kurang user friendly bagi anda yang tidak suka XML atau command line :). Entahlah kalau soal featurenya.

Coba cari di : http://www.download-by.net/development/install-and-setup/ Di sana banyak software untuk setup, tapi klo untuk MSI kebanyakan gak freeware. Semoga membantu.

Kelebihan MSI: memerlukan download tambahan, kalau di XP perlu SP2 (kalau pakai Windows Installer 3) sehingga kelihatan bagaimana program anda begitu pentingnya sampai bisa suruh orang upgrade hehehe. Tapi sebetulnya salah satu kelebihan MSI yang menarik adalah dapat di-deploy melalui Active Directory. Misal komputer-komputer dalam grup "A" semuanya mau diinstall software "X" maka asal ada MSI nya dapat disetting di Active Directory dan komputer-komputer itu nantinya waktu booting lagi akan otomatis install softwarenya. Asyik kan :) Nanti kalau uninstall juga sama, cuma dicabut aja softwarenya :)

Hmm ini ada satu lagi: MAKEMSI, syntax filenya juga kelihatan agak aneh :(. WIX sama MAKEMSI untuk mempelajarinya perlu meres keringat juga ya :? . ada MSIBuilder yg agak mudah dan gratis. Tapi bingung juga kalo mo customize gak kayak innosetup ato NSIS yg pake script.
